And just to rule out something really simple, take out your ram and re-seat it. Computer Won't Power On With Hard Drive Plugged In
I have tried slowly stripping parts out to see if I can get it to run further, but with no drives installed and even without the graphics card, the most I I believe the HP problem was a motherboard issue. I haven't even been able to put the disc in yet since the computer won't turn on.

All Rights Reserved. It was running fine before I installed this new drive. But the machine should still turn on with the new drive installed, just like when there is none. I just find it strange to not be getting any video output through the on board or PCI graphics card.
Also my input devices are still not responding (monitor is not getting a signal, mouse is not lighting up, keyboard is not lighting up).
