The lack of 7600 more than makes up for an extra hard drive. After numerous hard resets from the power button I tried it in safe mode and everything worked fine, so I figured it was a software problem. Thanks! Secondary Hard Drive Freezing Computer
This happens WITH the new hard drive (RMA'd the drive TWICE now, and it's happened with all three in a row) but it will NOT happen WITHOUT the drive. Do they have the same amount of storage? Considering what my old Rosewill PSU was powering competently, I'm pretty sure it'll be fine. You may want to try a clean boot and performing some diagnostics.
I followed your advise switched to IDE instead of AHCI in the BIOS and it's good so far. Seems almost like I've got different devices running into each other interrrupt-wise. Please note that I had problems with these drives before and after removing that particular piece of hardware, so it's not the older video card. Ahci If I hit any performance problems I'll try the LPM trick with the registry.

When Hot Plugged it operated normally and was visible in both My Computer and Disk Management. Don't fret if your drive says it has "Bad Sectors", sometimes you can clear those out by zero-writing the drive. check over here I also tried tried the regular edit for that data port Andes that did not help either. Everything runs great apart from one thing - my secondary hard drive (which is the old one from my old rig) is having issues, which I am now only using for I am using this computer for personal use and for work and I really need to know if this could happen again.
