Reply Bruce Epper December 20, 2016 at 9:54 pm Either one. Disc repair had come up between me and my brother before, but just to the extent of those at home disc repair things that I have yet to ever see work. If you run Windows 7 Setup from your previous OS, Windows 7 will always activate.
So I want to reformat it, and do a clean install of Win XP, but for some reason, all I can find is the upgrade CD.
If you look closely, You will find traces of past Windows versions. If the system is old enough it doesn't support booting from CD, you should carefully evaluate your options.
